They are well-known for providing intelligent physical security solutions to both urban and industrial sites globally.

ATG Access exists to ensure that its clients are not just getting ‘one-size-fits-all security commodities. Their solutions consider realistic threat profiles and operational requirements while not compromising on site aesthetics.

They are a subsidiary of a larger group called Hill & Smith Holdings.

ATG Access has 20 locations globally: USA, Holland, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Egypt, Bahrain, Qatar, Gulf Region, India, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Northern China, Hong Kong, Japan.

The challenge

ATG Access had an outdated fleet of multifunctional printers consisting of multiple manufacturers, serviced by various suppliers, and leased from numerous finance companies. This led to a mismanagement of toners and an outpour of service calls. For a subsidiary with many global offices, they needed a streamlined solution.

The problems to solve

  1. Outdated printer fleet – Outpour of service calls.
  2. Printers from multiple manufacturers.
  3. Serviced by different suppliers.
  4. Leased from numerous finance companies.
  5. Mismanagement of toners.

The timeline

This also applies to me, but I think we should look at building this timeline out rather than simply stating it. We should show what was done when and why, creating more of a visual timeline of events.

Stage One - 2 days

Compiled all documents pertaining to the existing managed print services at ATG Access. This gave us an understanding of their environment and the terms underpinning their current contracts.

Stage Two - 3 days

We liaised with various stakeholders within the organisation to understand their future requirements and uncover efficiencies within their internal processes.

Stage Three - 1 day

Landall explored the marketplace on-behalf of ATG Access. We compared and shortlisted the technology best aligning with the goals and future strategies of the client. Representing ATG Access, we proceeded to negotiate most-favourable commercial terms with the chosen manufacturers, to ensure a minimum cost of ownership for the client.

Stage Four - 3 days

We then tabled the proposals to the client, alongside technical and financial comparison reports, highlighting the improvements of the new proposed technology in comparison to their existing devices; as well as the cost-reduction over the course of their contract.

Stage Five - 1 day

Contracts signed.

Stage Six - 5 days

Our proactive engineers delivered and implemented the new solutions. From this point forward ATG Access not only improved their technology, but reduced their costs.
